All FPT Industrial engine families include natural gas variants, offering clean, innovative engines with reduced CO2 emissions. These engines are designed to ensure low noise, long life, and daily savings thanks to reduced cost per mile, all while being environmentally friendly and complying with current emission standards. Our range of natural gas engines, which includes three engine families, the F1, NEF, and CURSOR, offers displacements from 3 to 12.9 liters, with rated power outputs from 100 to 382 kW (136 to 520 hp) and maximum torque values from 350 to 2,500 Nm. Since 1997, we have sold more than 100,000 natural gas engines with a European market share of over 60%.
Speed, reliability, and consistency:
Moving goods for commercial purposes is a daily necessity, meaning that light commercial vehicles must guarantee high performance, and low emissions, and be quiet, reliable, and safe. Our engines provide strength and power to vans, trucks, and light vehicles of all kinds. We are the only company to offer two engines for light commercial vehicles and minibuses, the F1A 2.3L and F1C 3L (F1C also available in natural gas version), with power outputs ranging from 85 to 152 kW (116 to 207 hp) and torque from 340 Nm to 470 Nm.
Our engines are of industrial derivation for long life and reliability, up to 400,000 km Be10 and installed on GVW up to 8.55 t. They stand among the best in their class in terms of reliability thanks to their duplex timing chain, which requires no maintenance, and is cheaper and quieter than gear-driven timing. In terms of maintenance, our engines are category leaders with oil change intervals of up to 50,000 km. They are also optimized for both transverse and longitudinal installation, and have an ATS system with dual SCR, optimized for urban missions with reduced load and low exhaust temperatures, as well as for suburban use. Finally, the F1C category engines offer compliance with global emission standards such as EuVI, GBVI, JP24, PROCONVE P8.
